The world spins on the visual image. Art directors and designers must spin clutter into clarity and trash into treasure. It’s not about drawing “Binky” on the matchbook. It’s about ideas and vision. Great art directors and designers find potential in the abandoned and coax the extraordinary out of the everyday. These programs at Brainco will give you the technical tools‚ while thoroughly upgrading and inspiring your mental tools. We’ll show you how to make nice with writers and other partners (we’re all in this together) for collaborations that excel. We’ll also keep you up nights dripping a slow‚ steady stream of water droplets on your head cuz it ain’t always easy. And finally‚ you will have fun.
Art Direction
You’ll work on print, TV, bus sides, anywhere you see advertising and you’ll be responsible for making it look pretty, or ugly if that is what the client calls for. You might be asked to do a logo or two here and there as well, as laughter from the designers is heard in the background.
Graphic Design
You’ll be responsible for logos, business systems, and will most likely be taking requests from around the globe (or at least the neighborhood) for freelance work, with an emphasis on the free.
Interactive Design
You make websites, pop-ups, etc. look pretty or ugly as the case may be, but above all else you will make everyone say Oooh, cool! How you do that? A good designer never tells, or is that a magician? Or is it both?
