Admissions F.A.Q.s

The Minneapolis School of Advertising, Design & Interactive Studies.

When are the classes?
All classes are in the evenings. Get a job or sleep in, it’s your call.

Where do most Brainco students come from?
Most students fit into these categories…

  1. People currently working in agencies (media, traffic, production, etc.) that want a job on the creative side or account side.
  2. Traditional print designers who need to learn this whole “web” thing.
  3. Production artists who are tired of art directors and designers hogging the limelight.
  4. Career changers who decided it’s time to follow their dream
  5. Recent college grads who need more specialized training than their school could offer
  6. People whose parents wish they would hurry up, get a job and move out of the basement.

What about housing?
All housing is off-campus. There are many cool places to live in Minneapolis and if you’re looking for a roommate, we’ll connect you with other students coming here from around the country.

We can’t guarantee your roommate will have hygiene practices that are above reproach, come over to do the dishes that have been piling up and if you have multiple large animals you’re on your own.

A good place to start your search is with www.forrent.com, enter the school zip code of 55343 and within a 5 mile radius to find multiple apartments on bus lines and within biking distance of the school, restaurants and shopping centers.

Can I talk with former or current students about the program?
Sure, just give us a call and we’ll be glad to put you in touch with past and present students. If you want to speak with a future student, just talk to yourself. 952.931.0303.
